The Perigee Pro represents a new direction in single parachute container systems. It's genesis was in response to the realization that contemporary fixed object jumping was often exceeding the parameters that the Velcro-closed BASE rig was designed to operate within.
In 1991 we experimented with the idea of a 2-pin closed single parachute system. In 1997 we revisited the concept as it became apparent that certain BASE jumps required a more securely closed rig.

I own 2 dual-pin systems, each from different manufacturers. My "PRO" from Asylum Designs is the superior rig. The craftmanship is superb. The stitching, construction and attention to detail are unmatched.
The perigee pro is easily the cleanest, strongest, most comfortable, simplest rig out there. Asylum uses more measurements and builds the best fitting rig to you personally than anyone else. Every little detail is solid and nothing has been overlooked!
Having jumped for 10 years and tried many different rigs the perigee pro is by far the most comfortable and qualitative best rig on the market. In comparison to other rigs it isn't over built like a 1956 Chevy half ton truck and you can tell the attention to detail in every stitch. It is solid where it needs to be and light where you dont want the bulk. It doesn^t wast time on unncessary extras and feels conforming to your body. (Not altering your posture because you are wearing it). If you are in the market to get a new rig you should definately rty or look at this one before committing!
The P-Pro is not the only pin rig I own but it's becoming one of my favorites. It's light, comfortable,easy to pack, stuffs great into a stashbag, and very well made. Thumbs up!
