Solar powered radios Can't Post

Hi

We are looking to install a solar powered radio at the Brento exit point. Does anyone know of any off the shelf solutions?

I remember the stechelberg system relied on swapping batteries which I'd like to avoid.

Thanks in advance
James

You want sufficient range to reach the LZ?

maybe you can look at solar chargers for a walkie talkie rather than a solar walkie talkie itself? It would allow for a larger panel and probably more variety of selection for charging and radio

You could also look at a larger system that would stay in place. If you don't need to move it around, it might make more sense to create a more permanent placement there.

What you want is an all weather solar charger, something like this

Do screw it to something as there will eventually come an asshole who will thinks its funny to throw it off.
