Does Rope Jumping Feel Like Base Jumping? Can't Post

Hi
I was wondering if Rope Jumping felt the same as or similar to Base Jumping.

Any insight will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

BASE is like intercourse (with a woman) exciting and a real please. A lot of set up but no follow up needed, just put your equipment away and run.

"Rope Jumping" is like masturbating, its a lot of work and your going to get burns on your palms, then you still have to clean up after.

but yes for a few seconds with your eyes closed it feels similar.

Dan osman made a 1000 foot rope jump that im sure felt quite similar, he even tracked away from the wall, slightly. However that is most Definitly NOT the standard. I believe that record still stands.

Yes he was all about it. He also went in. The price to play can be as expensive as BASE.

I was pretty seriously into rope jumping in the 90's, and I don't think it's really very similar to BASE. Exit style is different, rigging is different, planning considerations are different--pretty much a totally different activity.

I not so recently watched a video of some dudes jumping cliffs with fixed ropes attached, while wearing tracking suits and wingsuits, but no rigs. Can't find the link now though.

Wow. Crazy.

Neither wing suits nor tracking suits existed when I was a rope jumper, and all the stuff we did was at slider down type altitudes. I think the highest thing I ever rope jumped from was the bridge where I did my first BASE jump, in Northern California.

Yeah he left his ropes in the elements for three months before returning to jump it. Miles d was with him when he went in.
