Moving to Chicago

Hey guys,
I'm moving within a year or so and it's looking more and more like Chicago will be where. I would be grateful for any PMs about the status of BASE in the area (how many active jumpers are usually around, what are the best DZs around there, etc) and anything else you feel like I should know before moving out there.
Also, I may be coming up there to visit toward the end of this summer.
P.S. If you're into rock climbing or slacklining, any insight there would be nice
