I wonder how well a parachute would work on the moon.....I mean why didn't they use them on the landers to save fuel on decsent Unsure

peraps they might be able to see the dust cloud from earth, I wonder what terminal velocity would be like.

Not applicable because the moon has to little atmosphere. At the surface of the moon gravitational acceleration is about 1.6 meters/sec/sec so depending on your elevation above the surface your falling speed towards the surface would increase 1.6 meters/sec for every second you fell.
