drunk in public (allegedly)

Besides that, but unless he was being belligerent toward the officer (yeah, I know that's a stretch), I highly doubt the CHP would care if he wasn't driving.

I hate it when I'm about to post something and all of a sudden the one I'm replying to disappears! Unsure

hookitt wrote:
I know you did. That's too bad.

My post was theoretical. If he was not intoxicated, and just turned around and left, nothing would have happened.

That certainly COULD happen but can you be sure nothing would have happened? The only way to truly know for sure would have been to play out that scenario. I think the outcome would have a lot to do with intention of both parties.
The patrolman's intention to start may be to get traffic flowing again but after that is accomplished could his intention change to charging Jester with something in order to appease his employers and bring in revenue? If Jesters intention was to just walk out and take pictures and had no intention of jumping the patrolman could see that as a forgivable offense but if the patrolman took jesters intention as to do something 'illegal' he may think differently once the main situation is dealt with.
It does not matter if he jumped or not, the scenario can always change and turn out for the better or worse... it just depends on the ongoing contract negotiations between the parties. Wink

in other states such as Georgia or Texas, being drunk in public usually results in immediate jail. i got a citation in Georgia for having an open container in public. i got a suspended sentence but I found out I could have been sentenced 90 DAYS IN THE COUNTY JAIL FOR A BEER!

Just some FYI: I'm the one who shot the video.. i DO NOT have the footage of Jester's sexual assault of the senior citizen and his seeing eye dog.. please stop emailing me requesting to see him dry humping the old man.. In jester's defense, he claims that he didnt know that the old man was blind. That is probably the reason why the cop showed up in the first place.. but that's unclear

Tyler... pay attention cuz obviously your friend wasn't. He didn't have his chest strap on and you can clearly see it in the video which means so can you.

That's not all but that's all for now.

i had a friend who was a probation officer. he described some idiot who ran from the cops and ran through like 8 people's homes trying to get away, while he was on probation. so he got 8 felony breaking and entering charges on top of everything else. ha!

That's because the one above mine was deleted, other wise I'd have finished my edit and left it up.

Remember the person you jumped that bridge with? CHP drove by one day and said turn around and walk away. Nothing came of it. You can walk on that bridge.

As for Jester, Sure it was obvious he was planning to jump, but at first glance the only cite that would probably be considered would be impeding traffic.

It was 240-feet the last time I was there in the mid-90s. But it does have a lot water running down out of the mountains flowing underneath it so it may be a bit higher now. In a thousand years it'll be a thousand feet . . . LOL!

my friend jumped with Steve Jester at a noted site in northern Cali. they jumped too late with the sun going down. after the jump, the got trapped in a canyon and started doing a technical climb out. a fucking boulder the size of a small car fell of the wall where Steve was climbing and it nearly hit my friend who was like 10 feet below Steve. they were amazed neither of them got killed by the damn climb out.

I always though chest strap was overrated :)

Not only overrated, but in this situation chest strap could have been potentially lethal as he could have landed in rip currents (which are almost impossible to outswim even without a parachute!) - while it's totally unnecessary if you nail the body position at end of McConkey swing as he did.

I applaud his thinking. Better be in jail than in the coffin.

I think this bit "while it's totally unnecessary if you nail the body position at end of McConkey swing as he did" is fair indication that he might have been joking...Wink
